Wally – adopted

DOB approx Oct 2024
“Wally is a friendly, outgoing guy—a charming entertainer who comes complete with a dapper tuxedo! He has a goofy side and is really fun to watch as he zooms around, chasing and pouncing on things. He keeps up a steady banter of meows and trills—a chatty fellow with a lot to say to encourage audience participation! Some cats meow for treats—Wally meows for playtime.

Wally especially loves wand toys (particularly when they skitter along the ground), tunnels, and a big pile of crinkly packing paper. He would do well in a home with another young, playful cat, as he’s a respectful and enthusiastic playmate—even our grumpy middle-aged cat has declared him “OK.” Despite his kitten-like energy, Wally isn’t particularly agile—you won’t catch him scaling window screens or leaping onto the mantel. Occasionally, he’ll try to engage a human hand in a play fight (gently, without teeth or claws), but he’s easily redirected to a toy.

And Wally isn’t just a bundle of energy. When the show is over, he’d like nothing more than a lap to curl up in or another cat to cuddle with. He’s comfortable being picked up and cuddled, and he loves being brushed. He’ll even flop onto his side and might briefly permit a belly brushing. He has also tolerated nail clippings. Wally enjoys a nice window perch where he can watch birds and squirrels—or perhaps just doze in the sun.

Wally is also the consummate host, so if you like your cats to meet and greet visitors, he might be the perfect match for you.

Wally has seen dogs and seemed curious about them, but we don’t know how he’d do living with them.

Wally isn’t a picky eater, but he’s not highly food-motivated either—he prefers to nibble throughout the day.
When it comes to food preferences, he seems to favour chicken over fish and goes wild for fresh green oat grass—just like a little lawn mower!

Wally was found as an un-neutered stray. When he arrived at his current foster home, he was very stressed and did take a few swipes at us on his second day. He didn’t want to be confined to his own room and meowed non-stop to complain about being a prisoner. However, once he was integrated with the rest of the household, all signs of stress disappeared. He’s since revealed himself to be a lovable guy with lots of energy and heart.”
