Update from new foster. They are both settling in great ! after a few weeks they are both running around playing and chasing each other all over the house. Agatha has made great progress and no longer hides. She even let me pet her recently and purred for the first time. But she’s not sitting next to us or climbing onto our laps yet.
Rio is still more cautious and usually hides when she sees us, though she comes out quickly for treats. She’s slowly getting more comfortable but isn’t ready to be touched yet.
Rio is a lot like her mom, she’s shy and is still building her confidence as she didn’t get a lot of socializing before 5 months. Anytime I’m around she is fairly affectionate and loves getting pets and snuggles but takes time to warm up to new people, she is a pretty calm and gentle soul so I think she appreciates a similar energy. Rio loves playing in the sink and bathtub and is very curious about water, she’s also a big fan of running back and forth through the cat tubes. She would love to be adopted with her mom and/or sister but would be good with another gentle cat, could also be in a household with a polite dog.
Agatha is a little more mischievous than her sister and is more interested in playing than being pet or snuggles, that’s a little more on her terms. She didn’t get alot of socializing before 5 months so is shy and still building her confidence but is always around and curious about new people. Aggie seems like a very typical tortie and is very independent and will let you know when she’s in the mood for being snuggled or playing jackrabbit with your arm. The sink and bathtub are also her favourite things, especially taking her little cat toys into the tub and running in circles. She would love to be adopted with her mom and/or sister or live with another friendly cat, and would be ok with polite dogs
