June 16 2013- Father’s day weekend .. myself and many volunteers spend 3 LONG and Heartbreaking days at the School district 62’s Property. There were 2 kittens running through the drain pipes around the building and couldn’t get out. One was rescued a few days earlier but it took 3 days to get the last two out. We had to dig holes all around the property to get to the pipes, set up traps, and plumbers came out with their scopes so we could see them and where they were. I was NOT leaving without them ! One kitten (Piper) seen in photo was caught on Late Sat and it took until wee hours of the night on Sunday that “Bolt” was finally caught ! That was an amazing show of caring and devoted people who came out to spend their weekend with us in rescuing these kittens !
After they were rescued in loving homes !
