We received a call from a man in Vancouver who rented his farm land to a women who sadly passed away and had 21 alpacas. He did not want to send them to slaughter so asked if we could help save them ? We said YES! He so kindly made multiple trips from Vancouver with them in his Truck and brought them to us. We are an all species rescue so will take anything as long as we have a foster home for them. Thankfully the CRD shelter on the Pat Bay Highway let us house them on their property until we were able to find them “hobby farms” to live out their lives! If you drive by Elk Lake Vet they have a few of our Alpacas !
