Meet Luna!
Luna is a beautiful, spayed, 14-month-old purebred German Shepherd looking for her forever home. True to her breed, Luna is incredibly smart, focused, and driven. She learns new skills quickly and thrives on being challenged and engaged.
Luna’s ideal home would be with individuals or families who:
- Have previous experience with the German Shepherd breed.
- Are home most of the time and can provide the attention and partnership she needs.
- Hike daily, preferably in the bush, and have a large yard where Luna can run. If you have big puddles, even better!
- Are committed to keeping the bar high for Luna, continuously engaging her in new and exciting ways to prevent her from becoming anxious or problematic.
It’s important to note that Luna would do best in a home without cats or small animals, as she likes to chase. Luna does not enjoy little dogs barking at her and can get quite agitated by it. Additionally, as Luna is still a puppy, she is quite mouthy, so a home without children under 12 is recommended. Luna loves to play with my dog, however cannot switch off and will pester my dog until separated, so another dog to play with either in the home or a play date would be beneficial for Luna. Luna has been participating in day training and the trainer(Corine from Beyond the Leash training) is committed to ensuring the transfer to her new home goes smoothly and offers complimentary training to help with this transition.
Luna would excel at nose work or other dog sports, making her a perfect match for an active and dedicated owner. It takes a special person to understand and meet the needs of a German Shepherd, as they can be intense, focused, and very special dogs.
