Kobe and Sassy

At no fault of their own Kobe and Sassy who are a bonded pair and are looking for a home with a fenced yard to call their own. Their dad passed away unexpectedly a little over a year ago and since his passing they have been living between two homes. They have enjoyed going on many adventures, living with their fur cousins and they have adapting nicely to having a regular routine. Kobe and Sassy are both 9 years old and both neutered and spayed. Though technically seniors they are still very young at heart and in great health. Kobe is a 70lb Shepard/Rotti type mix and Sassy is a 10lb chihuahua who is super sweet but can hold her own given her small stature.

Both dogs love going on their walks are good on leash generally speaking, they do not pull and both just walk in regular collars. Kobe can be protective on leash though, meaning if you see someone walking with a dog you just have to talk to him and be aware. He growls sometimes at other dogs and seems to not like bicycles flying by. I just shorten the leash and say Kobe remember your manners or it’s ok and he is fine. Sassy couldn’t care less about other dogs. They are great off leash on hikes in the back woods and have Good recall. Kobe protects sassy from the birds. Kobe also backs into bushes and hides his poop while on hikes, he will never plant one on an open trail. They are happy to go for a quick boot around the block or join you on a hike. Both Kobe and Sassy are not super fond of the rain and do best if when it’s raining if they can do their business on a quick walk or if you supervise them from the back door. They get anxious that they will be left out. They would do best in a home where someone is home more and in a house with no small children. They do well with other animals with proper introductions of course. They have been currently living with other dogs, cats and Guinea pigs and have had no issues at all. Ideally Kobe and Sassy would love a home and family of their own to cuddle with but I am open to a foster situation (food, vet bills etc paid for until their forever home is found) foster to adopt (to make sure it’s the right fit) but most ideally they deserve a home to call their own. If you think Kobe and Sassy would be a great fit for you.
