Update from foster home:
They are amazing. They are flourishing ~ happy little cats. I’ve been meaning to send you an update with some fresh photos so here goes…
They are both sweet, affectionate, loving cats. They get along really well, they play together, share beds, food etc. They have free reign over the entire apartment and they are quiet all night, they never wake me up. They have about an hour of playtime around 9-10pm and then they settle down until the morning. They’re good eaters, free feed and neither over eats and they share well. Also both are good with their litter box though Cas has a propensity to dig in plants sometimes.
Cas (black Tortie) is more confident, independent, very smart and a bit quirky. She is comfortable around people fully now. I had several people over last weekend and she was interacting with everybody and went into her cat tree bed and took a nap in the middle of it all. She will approach people who come over, play with them etc. She’s very transfixed with running water at the moment and comes running when the kitchen sink comes on. She is the kind of cat you will find sleeping in random weird places, always exploring, curious. Also, she recently started coming to me for affection, sitting on my lap, under my arm etc. I think she will become even more affectionate as she grows up too.
My sweet Bea (red, tabby) is a gentle and sensitive soul. I love her to bits. She is more cautious and easily startled. She needs time to feel safe and does not care for loud noises, sudden things. Once she feels safe and comfortable she is very affectionate. She is the one who jumps on me first in the morning and lays down besides me and purrs. She has brief outbursts of energy where she plays and can be a little quirky. She depends on and adores her big sister Cas and that helps her feel safe. She is happiest when they are curled up together on my bed in the late afternoon. When I had company over she was scared at first and hid for an hour or so but did eventually come out and while she didn’t interact with anybody, she did stay in the same room.
They are both good eaters and have good litterbox habits. They love their treats and every night before bed I make a treat scavenger hunt for them to find.
They would do best in a quiet home with no dogs or kids ..
