Hello, my name is Ripley. I’m a 7 year old mix breed medium sized dog, I think I may be a Catahoula Leopard Hound Dog/ Black Lab. I’m lazy when I want to be enjoying my comfy bed or sneaking up on the human bed and couch when I can. I love to go for runs in forests and parks and can easily keep pace with you for half an hour, unless it’s raining I’d rather sit inside and watch you run. I know all my commands quite well but pay extra attention if there are treats being offered. I prefer the company of humans, but can get used to living with any animal if they are under the same roof as me. I do have separation anxiety that can be eased by my comfy bed but when you’re not here I’m definitely going to sniff out any food and counter surf as a comforting technique.
When meeting new dogs I’ll have a big loud display but I’ve never had any physical confrontation with dogs or humans. I don’t think I would be best suited for a home with an infant as I tend to be careless with my weight and where I walk to try and get to my comfy bed/ close to you. I’m also the first one to let you know if there are strangers at the door, once I know the house is safe I’ll run back to my comfy bed. I would be best suited with someone without children.
I enjoy getting out everyday to the dog park or on a run but if you’re getting home from work and tired I don’t mind snoozing around with you around the house for a couple days before needing to get out for a big run.
And trust me before you say it I know I kinda look like dobby.
